Tried removing the gear between the starter and flywheel (so starter only has to turn itself) but still just a click. Other: check for 8v at terminal 50 0f solenoid switch/ if not (check for 8v at terminal 50 of ignition switch)-Check for voltage at field winding connecting strap w/ ignition turned to start.
